Soweego bot[edit]
soweego bot (talk • contribs • new items • new lexemes • SUL • Block log • User rights log • User rights • xtools)
Operator: Hjfocs (talk • contribs • logs)
Task/s: add referenced identifier statements, as part of the m:Grants:Project/Hjfocs/soweego Wikimedia project grant. This bot partners with those operated by Magnus_Manske in mix'n'match.
Code: User:Hjfocs/soweego_bot.py, from [1]
Function details: this is the first soweego task. For each target catalog as per m:Grants:Project/Hjfocs/soweego/Timeline#August_2018:_big_fishes_selection, add referenced identifier statements to items that do not have an identifier for that catalog yet. A sample statement as in Kimiko Nakazawa (Q11366557) follows.
- claim: Kimiko Nakazawa (Q11366557) MusicBrainz artist ID (P434) 95ce28c9-c5f0-4342-8528-5138d519c7ad;
- reference: stated in (P248) MusicBrainz (Q14005), retrieved (P813) 12 September 2018.
soweego partners with Magnus_Manske's work on large catalogs and complements the mix'n'match tool, which focuses on small catalogs.
100 test edits: see [2]
Estimated total edits:
- lower bound = 1,411, i.e., matches obtained from a 1% random sample of Wikidata humans;
- upper bound = no more than 2.8 M, i.e., all living humans + all musicians + all authors in Wikidata, may overlap.
Suggestions for a more detailed reference node welcome.

- I will approve this bot task in a couple of days, provided that no objections will be raised. Lymantria (talk) 07:04, 16 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
