Description
Né à Nîmes en 1847 dans une famille de banquiers, Louis Gaidan est un peintre paysagiste français du mouvement néo-impressionniste qui a étudié à Paris auprès du peintre académique carcassonnais Jean Jalabert puis s'est perfectionné dans le paysage avec Paulin Bertrand. En 1887, il participe au Salon de la Société des Artistes Français à Paris et ce, jusqu'en 1903. Il a peint des paysages de Provence, notamment à Nîmes, Toulon, Hyères et Carqueiranne, où il possédait la " Villa des Agaves ".
