English: The Vaynol Arms, Nant Peris.
This large public house, named after the estate which owned the land between the Menai Strat and the summit of Snowdon and included ownership of Dinorwig Quarries, is still better known locally as Tŷ'n Llan (meaning 'croft in the church enclosure') from the days when beer was sold by the church warden to worshippers after morning service.
