Discussion
[edit]Untitled
[edit]This property is redundant. Fed Cup id is always equal to ITF id.
It only generates extra work for wikidata editors. In that sense it is not only unneeded, but even harmful.

- @Vinkje83: OK, I should say, that I know that. Some of reasons, why I think, this (and the one for Davis Cup) should be kept.
- those are two different websites and URLs
- easier to find copy-paste errors
- I think this also would be easier for external clients not to have fake links for men to Fed Cup and women to Davis Cup, not complicating the code of websites or whatever they have (with getting gender). This also applies to the same Template:Sports links (Q22674492)
- I really can't tell you, that evey Fed Cup/Davis Cup link has some real information, but I think it would be better not to have links to let's say the same Kenny De Schepper, which hasn't played in Davis.
- If you still think, these two properties should get deleted, nominate them --Edgars2007 (talk) 19:14, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- Comment: For the record, the IDs are no longer the same, apparently. Steel1943 (talk) 14:39, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
New URL address
[edit]Notified participants of WikiProject Tennis Hi, the BJK Cup website has a new URL, the current one doesn't work. It should be fixed.
Cheers, --Kacir (talk) 05:55, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- https://www.billiejeankingcup.com/en/player/800296142 works too. Regards Jmmuguerza (talk) 12:35, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- I fixed the URL already one week ago. For me, it has been working allright ever since. Pommée (talk) 13:07, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Jmmuguerza Pommée: Thanks, you are right. Now I see that problem was only on the Czech local version, BJK Cup web generated message: The page your are looking for doesn't exist or has been moved. So I fixed the URL in the czech BJK Cup template, and it works. --Kacir (talk) 16:17, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
