@Jura1: You only added one name as an alias in English and no labels anywhere. Is there any special reason to that or was it just a glitch in the matrix? -- Innocent bystander (talk) 10:36, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't sure if that would be the label to use, but it was definitely a possible alias.

Ok, I see. There is no sources here anywhere, so there is nothing to look into. I only came across this since the lack of labels in any language made the labels fallback in a Module on svwiki go bananas. I have fixed the bug in the module, it will now instead generate a link to the WD-item. -- Innocent bystander (talk) 13:59, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
She is mentioned at w:Diego_Velázquez#To_Madrid_.28early_period.29. Most mentions of spouses at enwiki have that form.

On svwiki we have made some modifications to the above mentioned module. Now is it possible to get only information from items that has been confirmed as locally notable. That is applied to such parameters as "relatives", but we normally do not have such restrictions to spouses. -- Innocent bystander (talk) 14:28, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
In most language versions, the name of the spouse if considered worth mentioning even if there is no article about them. To provide this through Wikidata, we need to make items about the spouse. I did some on Wikidata:Database reports/top missing properties by number of sitelinks/P26.

I have no objections against such sitelink-free items, no matter if we know their name or not. The tricky parts comes when we come to such items as "the mother of King Eriks third son". I think we have some cases like that in the 11th and 12th century and before. How should an algoritm look like, that can provide useful information to the spouse-part of the infobox of King Erik? -- Innocent bystander (talk) 17:20, 21 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, sometimes we don't know the name of the relative, but it's still important to list them: e.g. Q22348311, Q22340337. Infoboxes might look better if labels with relationship terms are listed in brackets, but this depends much on the wiki and other context of the infobox.

The "wife of St. Peter" was a nice example. We know that she exists, since we know of the "mother in law of St. Peter" and from what I know, that's all. -- Innocent bystander (talk) 07:22, 22 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
