Hi, since a few days/weeks this does not work anymore on my watchlist. Still works on history-pages. The filters on the watchlist never worked for me. Do you have any ideas for the reason? -- MichaelSchoenitzer (talk) 14:07, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Still supported?[edit]

@Yair rand: do you still maintain this script? I find it extremely useful, but there is meanwhile some need for fixes. If you are interested, I could list some things that you might need to look at… —MisterSynergy (talk) 19:24, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@MisterSynergy, Ayack, Hsarrazin:, I've tried to fix up some of the larger bugs that were making it unusable. This script was built primarily as a demo for a proposal, so it wasn't really built for maintainability. Specific bug reports would still be useful, but I can't guarantee I'll fix them in a timely manner. --Yair rand (talk) 20:02, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Yair rand - that's much better that way :) --Hsarrazin (talk) 20:22, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot! It does seem to work perfectly again :-) —MisterSynergy (talk) 05:29, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot too! Ayack (talk) 07:57, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Yair rand: it now appears that the script displays all data additions/removals twice when active on Special:Watchlist, but not on Special:Contributions or item histories. Can you please have a look? —MisterSynergy (talk) 11:06, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@MisterSynergy: Should be fixed now, I think. --Yair rand (talk) 19:29, 17 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Bug with dates[edit]

@Yair rand: since a few days, there is a date formatting bug in the script. A sample edit is Special:Diff/934050894, see [1] (on watchlists and contribution pages it looks the same). Can you please have a look? Thanks, —MisterSynergy (talk) 17:48, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@MisterSynergy: Should be fixed now. --Yair rand (talk) 19:07, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not working on Commons[edit]

@Yair rand: Commons now has some Wikidata-style statements, but currently this script doesn't seem to be working on Commons. It'd be neat if it could be adapted to work there, too. NMaia (talk) 10:15, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@NMaia: Unfortunately, that would be rather difficult. On Wikidata, all edits to an item are Wikidata-style changes, while on Commons only certain specific edits to files are, and there's no way to reliably tell from the lists whether or not any given edit has a Wikidata-style ("mediainfo") change. --Yair rand (talk) 03:21, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Merging[edit]

@Yair rand: It would be useful if this script acknowledged merges. Right now it is hiding the useful MediaWiki message that an item was merged with another, without a similarly useful message in its place. See Federico Bardanzellu's edit here for an example of what I mean. NMaia (talk) 22:46, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Does not display filter options on Special:Contributions[edit]

@Yair rand: this script does not display the filter options any longer on Special:Contributions, so can you please check? As much as I am aware, it still does do so on all other special pages where it is supposed to do it. Thanks in advance, —MisterSynergy (talk) 13:26, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@MisterSynergy: Should be fixed now. --Yair rand (talk) 20:03, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, it works again! :-) —MisterSynergy (talk) 20:05, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Add option to filter ID[edit]

Hi Yair rand, I don't know if it is easily doable, but could you add an option to hide identifiers please? Thanks. Ayack (talk) 14:03, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Ayack: I don't quite understand what you mean. Could you go into more detail? --Yair rand (talk) 18:18, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
What Ayack did say was to enable avoiding reading ID-add like modifications in the Wikidata watch page. These kind of modifications (adding ID something to a Qid) may be tainting and bothersome to Wikidata watchers. Bouzinac💬✒️💛 19:40, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Ayack, Bouzinac: Ah, the script actually had that feature before, but apparently it broke when some classes changed. I've now fixed it; if you put in ^identifiers into the "Statements:" box, it will filter out changes to IDs. --Yair rand (talk) 05:28, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Yair rand Great, thanks, I didn't know this trick. Ayack (talk) 09:37, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
