- Motivation
This is one of the main properties used in person infoboxes. Amadalvarez (talk) 14:54, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
Certain religious figures such as saints, martyrs or virgins, but also some other non religious, such as heroes, fictional or historical characters, etc. are accompanied (or wearing) by elements that identify them and are the attributes that often allow to identify the bearing person. - I'm very confused as to what this property is for. Could someone give more specific examples? The proposed label isn't exactly clear. --Yair rand (talk) 06:16, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
Opposeto current name/desciption. It's not clear to me what the property is supposed to be about. ChristianKl (talk) 07:52, 2 August 2017 (UTC)- @Yair rand: Sorry, may be may poor english is part of the problem. I changed the description to give it an specific title, before the extended description. It's related with iconography, specially common -but not only- in Christianity (Q5043). The saints and martyrs, but also the deity (Q178885) are depicting wearing or accompanied by some elements that become the symbols that, de facto, represent them. Look at the example of Saint Peter (Q33923) in en:Saint Peter. He has a heaven key on his hands, as he was the first apostle and first pope and represents the heaven on the earth. Thanks,, --Amadalvarez (talk) 22:04, 3 August 2017 (UTC)

- Comment how about changing the label on the property itself to "iconographic symbol" (from the description) and abbreviating the description a little given that name? ArthurPSmith (talk) 18:30, 14 August 2017 (UTC)
- I've made this change, @ChristianKl: is this better? ArthurPSmith (talk) 19:07, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
- I have no objections to the new name, but I lack the domain knowledge to tell whether it's the best for the job. ChristianKl (talk) 20:55, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Yair rand: you had the same concern - is the new label and description clear? ArthurPSmith (talk) 19:09, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, the new label and description are sufficiently clear. --Yair rand (talk) 00:54, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Amadalvarez: I should check that you also approve of this (English) label and description? ArthurPSmith (talk) 19:11, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Yair rand, ArthurPSmith, ChristianKl: Yes. It's correct to me. I change the catalan description in the same way. Thanks for helping. --Amadalvarez (talk) 20:04, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Amadalvarez, ArthurPSmith, Yair rand, Ayack, ESM, Pacopac: Done Created as iconographic symbol (P4185). ChristianKl (talk) 12:08, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
