Motivation

In w:pt:Wikipédia:Esplanada/geral/Hardy's Internet Guide to Marine Gastropods (5set2021), an editor warned that a reasonably used reference site changed URL from [1] to a subsite of [2]. All ca. 400 links are all redirecting to the front page of this subsite. I am working to fix these links, and while I am at it, thought that this could be a good identifier for Wikidata. So, I will fix the links at ptwiki and start adding the identifiers to Wikidata. GoEThe (talk) 10:42, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Comment These IDs don't really look like IDs to me. Wouldn't it be better to make this a URL property rather than an external identifier? Change to "Hardy's Internet Guide to Marine Gastropods URL"? UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 17:31, 15 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
