- Support, but it's too bad that the actual IDs can not be used, e.g. 64.1949.1 for the Bailey Homestead. What is presented here is not really an example of an alphabetical identifier, it's just part of a URL. I wonder if this property would be better as a URL since that's really what it is. There could be a separate property for the actual ID, but it wouldn't be able to actually link to the website. UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 19:38, 28 April 2021 (UTC)
- @UWashPrincipalCataloger: Yes. It would be better if the website used the official IDs. I agree we may have two properties in the future. Thierry Caro (talk) 19:37, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Thierry Caro: How about changing this one to a URL and then you could just give the full URL for each marker? That was what was suggested for Digital Atlas of Idaho URL (P9519), so I changed it to that and it works very well. UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 03:48, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- @UWashPrincipalCataloger: 'URL' is a nice option when the fixed part of the URL of specific entries is as short as the full URL of the mainpage. Here, on th other han, we have a lot of stuff before we reach the actual ID part, meaning that we should probably stick to the 'external ID' datatype as we usually do in such scenarios.
