Discussion
[edit]- In Fantasdic (Q12270661), we use email address (P968) directly on items. However, each mailing list may be an item as usually it contains an official website (P856) and an email address (P968).--GZWDer (talk) 17:04, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
- Support I think this makes sense. email address (P968) could be a qualifier on this I guess, or we could have a separate property specifically for mailing list emails? I don't think we need to create separate items for mailing lists... ArthurPSmith (talk) 14:48, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
- Comment I like the idea but I agree with ArthurPSmith, often there are dozens to hundreds of lists for each project. It may sometimes make more sense to link to "listinfo", eg https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo -- maybe we should allow both? Link to a specific list or to a listinfo? --~~
- I don't know, but on the Free Software Directory, we have a drop-down list with three choices ("Mailing List", "Mailing List Subscribe", "Mailing List Info/Archive", and another one for E-mail. But if I understand correctly, "subscribe" and "listinfo" are the same most of the time. I think that the Archives link is more important for History… Genium. 20:07, Dec 3, 2020 (UTC+02:00)
- Support: could be useful, I guess. Nomen ad hoc (talk) 16:26, 1 December 2020 (UTC).
