Motivation
[edit]Version 2.0 is being developed actively with the last commit just days ago. From the five large unit ontologies (that I'm aware of; "see also" above) this is the last one which Wikidata is still missing. There is one aspect to be aware of: The ontology declares units, quantities, scales and other objects (just like other ontologies do). This proposal is specifically about units. If we ever want to link quantities to this ontology, we should propose an additional property (just like we did with QUDT quantity kind ID (P8393) and Wolfram Language quantity ID (P7431)).
