Motivation
[edit]Wikidata includes several hundred individuals from Ancient Egypt within the scope of Persons and Names of the Middle Kingdom and early New Kingdom. Many of them (but not all) are among the results of the following Query. The database Persons and Names of the Middle Kingdom and early New Kingdom contains references to sources and relevant bibliography, persons's titles in transliteration and the name in hieroglyphs --Ailintom (talk) 13:16, 27 September 2024 (UTC)

- I do not think, stable links and updates should be an issue, because
https://pnm.uni-mainz.de/person/$1always resolves to the latest version of the database entry, and we do not need to refer to a specific version of the database entry when the reference is used for authority control (as in WikiData) rather than as a reference to specific information cited from the database.- Ailintom (talk) 13:39, 29 September 2024 (UTC)- Indeed, it would be bad DB design if the mapping was changed from index to personal names, but the people in charge won't give you a guarantee.
