  We can add every instances of technology topic in https://joinmastodon.org/servers to technology (Q11016) because their subjects are about technology. Laftp0 (talk) 14:14, 7 November 2022 (UTC)

  I'd say all of the communities listed on https://joinmastodon.org/servers under technology are about something more specific than technology (Q11016). PHP (Q59) → phpc.social, Ruby (Q161053) → ruby.social, beer (Q44), free software (Q341) → hostux.social etc. – Loominade (talk) 14:45, 7 November 2022 (UTC)

  @Loominade: Oh, there is plenty of use of it because it's a lot of trouble to retrieve the address from that statement. Also, with the trend of more people getting their own server, it will be quite a lot of bloat in Wikidata to create and store that rather than simply just the URL for the server or the address for the account.   that's sometimes true. On the other hand, are also single-user instances like in the case of Not Just Bikes (Q105104236). I wouldn't want to create an item for those.
