Motivation

[edit]

This property aims at complementing country of citizenship (P27) : it shall help comprehend political regimen under which the people has lived under and who could have an influence on the people's life path. It would be filled with only main governments : kings/constitution/regime/colonies level (and not under)... This property might help solve certain debates on nationalities of a people. In old ages, there was no passports, thus no nationality stamped on a paper. Furthermore, this property might happen to not coincide with country of citizenship (P27).Bouzinac💬✒️💛 19:53, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion

[edit]
Jura1 as far as I can see country (P17) explicitly says "not to be used for human beings" so unless we change this, this suggestion seems not to be a viable approach. --Hannes Röst (talk) 20:45, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
We can still list country of citzenship, residence, work location or time period. --- Jura 09:06, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, could you try to query those that have lived under Louis XIV(Q7742), for instance ?Bouzinac💬✒️💛 09:19, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see a sample for that in the proposal. --- Jura 10:55, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Voltaire(Q9068) was among them. Bouzinac💬✒️💛 13:22, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure how that would work with the proposal. I added Sandbox-Item (P369) to Voltaire(Q9068) with the value proposed above [1]. Can you do a query that would simulate with P369 what you are looking for? --- Jura 10:39, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This way ? https://w.wiki/3ZBB Bouzinac💬✒️💛 13:05, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think that matches what you proposed above. --- Jura 14:07, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
