Motivation
[edit]Property similar to full work available at URL (P953), but for the table of contents. For example, as of June 2021, the German National Library is hosting 2.1 million PDF files with digitized tables of contents, which they’ve dedicated to the public domain via Creative Commons Zero 1.0. Other archival institutions will probably do the same eventually, if they aren’t doing it already; so this property is not really specific to the German National Library. It would be nice if Wikidata items could link to such table of contents. --Sascha (talk) 12:15, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- Weak support --Tinker Bell ★ ♥ 22:12, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
- Comment wouldn't it be better to qualify front and back matter (P8570)=table of contents (Q1456936) instead, e.g. with full work available at URL (P953). --- Jura 12:21, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
- It gives a warning about full work available at URL (P953) not being an allowed qualifier for front and back matter (P8570), eg here. But that’s probably easy to fix? (How? Via the discussion page of front and back matter (P8570)?) Apart from the warning, this would totally work; thank you! So I’d like to retract/abaondon this property proposal; what’s the proper way to do this? --Sascha (talk) 09:09, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- changing it to "withdrawn" and added the qualifier. --- Jura 15:07, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help, much appreciated! --Sascha (talk) 08:56, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
