•  Oppose All these items for the purpose of providing values in pregnancy category (P3489). The idea is to use these to import |pregnancy_category_AU= and |pregnancy_category_US= from en:template:infobox drug. I haven't done the import yet because I hadn't find the right tools to do it (PetScan is okay at importing strings from templates but not items). But these things really exist as you can see the English Wikipedia article en:Pregnancy category which mentions all of them. I think you are misinterpreting the notability policy – you cannot simply determine notability on the basis of mechanical criteria like you are doing, you need to research each item to determine if it could be notable – for example, even if it has no sitelinks and no or minimal claims, if a Wikipedia article mentions it then it is obviously notable (as is the case for all of these items). Frankly, I think it would be better if you withdrew all these mass deletion nominations you've submitted since they are ill thought out. SJK (talk) 01:56, 4 March 2017 (UTC)

So now I have imported the data from English Wikipedia for AU and US pregnancy categories, so all the AU and US pregnancy category items have backlinks. The German pregnancy category items don't have backlinks because English Wikipedia doesn't have data on them. (It mentions they exist but doesn't give their values for any drugs.) And German Wikipedia doesn't appear to have that info either. If someone has or bought a Rote Liste CDROM (such as from here for 78 euro) then probably the info could be extracted from that. (However, I am not sure what the legality of doing that would be – I don't know if doing so would be compatible with the copyright license terms of that CDROM or with EU database rights laws.) So I think the German pregnancy categories should be left there in case someone is able to import the data for them. SJK (talk) 15:15, 4 March 2017 (UTC)

This is hard. For most of these, I don't see why they were created. There may have been a reason to create them at the time, but this is not now apparent. Some of these should have sitelinks or backlinks (I put in a few). For the rest, these are potential problems, that have laboriously been cleaned up and that now are (potential) solutions. Out there (in the real world), there are huge numbers of what may be called "nomenclatural detritus", and that, basically, we don't want. However, some of it may get a structural function, and for others, there is a possibility that they will be imported again, and would then have to be cleaned up again. The most prudent course seems to leave them here, they are now harmless (we have lots of real junk, waiting to be cleaned up or removed). - Brya (talk) 02:14, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
