Task/s: Set labels and descriptions
Code: For the first work that I want to do I am going to use labels-indonesian-villages.py developed by Edoderoo. Then, for other works, I will re-use this script or developed something more.
Function details: After check so many items and the work of Edoderoobot, I reached the conclusion that it could be very useful to have a bot that set labels and descriptions in Spanish and Portuguese, two languages in what I can contribute. It isn't hard to apply and Edoderoo has published some scripts that could help me with this task, like Set-nl-description and dp-omschrijving. I have experience with bots in other wikis, mainly in eswiki, but this would be my first task in Wikidata; CanaryBot works in PAWS. After requesting this task I am going to make some edits to test the script, I am not going to beat the 50 edits. Regards, Ivanhercaz | Discusión 23:47, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
P. S. After made some test edit I detected, it didn't set the Spanish description. I fixed this error and in my last three editions ―[1], [2] and [3]― that I solved it.
Comment I have thought that it could be interesting generalize the task to "Set labels and descriptions", because I have the possibility to help in another languages if some user request me set labels and descriptions for a group of items. For example, if someone give me a Basque description for Indonesian villages, I could set it ―the same for other languages―. If is a mistake changing the task that I had requested, please notify me or change to the first task "Set Spanish and Portuguese labels and descriptions". - I will approve the bot in a couple of days provided there have been no objections raised.--Ymblanter (talk) 20:18, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
