Tool of the week

• Wikidata periodic table - Tool by User:Ricordisamoa, to browse all chemical elements available on Wikidata, with atomic number, chemical symbol, and localized label. It also includes two charts of the nuclides, with links to every isotope in Wikidata, colored by half-life or decay mode.

Other Noteworthy Stuff

• A new UI mode is available for the online validator for EntitySchemas. It represents validation reports as a table rather than a very long string, and replaces most links with hyperlinks with some of the text behind them; making them easier to read. Currently being tested at https://shex-validator.toolforge.org/packages/shex-webapp/doc/shex-simple-improved.html, we are looking for participants to evaluate this tool. Some experience with editing Wikidata is appreciated, but no experience working with Schemas is required. If you are interested, you can sign up here. We hope to begin interviews around May 13. węzeł drogowy i inne

Cześć! Odczytałem właśnie Twój wpis na mojej stronie dyskusji. Przy wyborze etykiety kieruję się przeważnie jej opisem, choć zdarza się że mam wątpliwości która z nich bardziej nadawałaby się w danym momencie albo sam muszę dodać opis w oparciu o wersję angielską (głównie przy innych elementach, nie związanych z tematyką dróg). Popieram pomysł wprowadzenia ujednolicenia, niestety sam też nie mam na to pomysłu - być może musiałby się ktoś jeszcze w tej sprawie wypowiedzieć.

PS: Przy okazji, jakie etykiety nadawać elementom opisującym główne trasy w Niemczech (autostrady i drogi B [Bundesstraßen]) oraz ichnie węzły autostradowe? Ja stosuję formy typu „autostrada federalna A[numer]” i „droga federalna B[numer]” opierając się na niemieckich określeniach, natomiast co do węzłów to mam zagwozdkę czy stosować Autobahnkreuz … / Autobahndreieck … czy tak jak przy „naszych” węzłach po prostu dawać „Węzeł autostradowy …”.

OK, w takim razie pozmieniam główne etykiety węzłów stosując formę "węzeł ABC" a dotychczasowe "Węzeł drogowy ABC / Węzeł autostradowy ABC" przeniosę do alternatywnych. Pozdrawiam :-) Miko101 (talk) 11:22, 19 May 2024 (UTC)

  • ParaNames 1.0: Creating an Entity Name Corpus for 400+ Languages Using Wikidata - ParaNames is a multilingual parallel name resource consisting of 140 million names spanning over 400 languages. Names are provided for 16.8 million entities, and each entity is mapped from a complex type hierarchy to a standard type (PER/LOC/ORG). Using Wikidata as a source, the authors created the largest resource of this type to date.

• EntitySchemas: We continued work on the new datatype for linking to EntitySchemas in statements. We focused on the input so it shows the label of the EntitySchema when entering the ID. Search by label and aliases will follow. (phab:T362004)
