@Adoscam: this set has created new items for given names as basic as "David" David (Q124599842) and "Michel" Michel (Q124600267). This is not a nice way to dump data onto Wikidata. Please help with the cleaning effort by merging items. 1Veertje (talk) 06:39, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

- Hi, sorry for the late reply. It's hard for me even to really get on top on how big this problem is. Getting a list of items you've created that are duplicates would, I guess, be most easily done by more properly do the reconciliation in OpenRefine. It appears to me that when you first uploaded this batch you created new items for all that you didn't go through the process of picking existing matches as is seen in this demonstrated here. I hope you still have the project and can "duplicate this column" with then the value "value" as the input. This always takes more time than creating all new items but now your new items caused a thing I had build to fail because it didn't even know the inferred gender for a name like "Thomas". 1Veertje (talk) 21:45, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
