Motivation[edit]
CYT identifier is one member of Virtual International Authority File (Q54919). For example, Wu Cheng'en (Q228889) has a VIAF page [1] . The CYT identifier can also be get through Cooperative Committee for Chinese Name Authority (Q109848014) with the label CCS, namely Center for Chinese Studies (Q109848501).
CYT may be Wade-Giles (Q208442) acronym (Q101244) of National Central Library (Q618340)（中央圖書館/Chung Yang T'u shu kuan） Kethyga (talk) 04:22, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
CYT value's prefix AC may be short for Authority Control.
Except for 708,901 records of Authority Control, there are about 19,038,656 monograph (Q193495) and article (Q191067).

Support Thank you very much for your proposal, @Kethyga:! VIAF members are always needed here. Could you just specify the relationship between this and older NCL ID (P1048)? I see that the same Wu Cheng'en (Q228889) has http://aleweb.ncl.edu.tw/F/?func=accref&acc_sequence=002186701 in the older and https://metadata.ncl.edu.tw/blstkmc/blstkm?!!NOAC000212165#tudorkmtop in this one. - Seems Synergy of Metadata Resources in Taiwan (Q73717982) was first established by National Central Library (Q618340) and National Taiwan University Library (Q10927199) with the name 中文名稱權威資料庫/Chinese Name Authority Database at around 1990. It's a cross-library project, although now it's operated by National Central Library (Q618340), while NCL ID (P1048) seems to be only for National Central Library (Q618340). Its content is much more plentiful than NCL ID (P1048). They have different system number/系統號. [1][2] [3]Kethyga (talk) 05:33, 3 December 2021 (UTC)

- @Kolja21 On VIAF, it writes SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE AUTHORITY DATA Authorities web site, while NCL ID (P1048) is NCL.
- P1048 is only for NCL's own books. While CYT/CCS (this proposal) is cross-library and for the whole Taiwan. They have two different value for one item, basically the two are independent.
- For example, Wu Cheng'en (Q228889), the VIAF-CYT value for it is AC000212165 and the value for Q228889 on this proposal is also AC000212165. Kethyga (talk) 07:13, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

- B.T.W, there is another Formatter URL which includes author's works in specific page ,but it's only for person name authority control, https://metadata.ncl.edu.tw/blstkmc/blst2ndtp?PAGE=authorDetail&authCode=$1 . - Support However @Kethyga: I think some changes need to be made:
- I think the prop should be split in two (for persons and for works) because the authorDetail page is much richer than the generic page
- What is "part of VIAF", "CYT persons" or also "CYT works"? If only "CYT persons", that's a very strong argument to split into two props
- Please fix the prop name to eg "CYT/CCS Taiwan ID" (or "CYT/CCS Taiwan person ID" vs ""CYT/CCS Taiwan work ID")
- Please fix "domain" to:
- include "organization" in addition to "human"
- include "monograph"
- split into two sublists (if you agree to split the prop)
- Move Wikidata property to identify organizations (Q21745557) into the discussion; after the prop is created we'll put it in "instance of"
- Add "wikidata prop to identify works" and "wikidata prop to identify people"
- The URL anchor "#tudorkmtop" is not needed and should be removed from the formatter
