scope of this property[edit]

What’s the scope of this property? Some fictional universes, like Star Wars Legends (Q3551295), “host” a lot of works of fiction; should we list them all? (I think this is a waste of time and space.) Or is this property only intended for encyclopedias, compendiums, etc.? Or should we only add the main works that describe a fictional universe? This needs some clarification.

Yamaha5, Ash Crow, DSGalaktos I think that for universes with hundred of works, the reverse property takes place in fictional universe (P1434) is more indicated… --Harmonia Amanda (talk) 10:30, 1 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I came across this inconcistency too when I noticed some of the Hitchiker books were not described as taking place in the universe (for instance Q187655). Trying to learn the modeling praxis I guess I found it a repeated issue (whether the individual books and/or novel series are linked to the universe). Obviously I didn't want to go about any radical changes, which way do you think we should take it? As depicted in Wikidata:Events/Swedish online editathon#Meetup #3. Look, User:Ainali! Pardon my beginner SPARQL. -- CarlJohanSveningsson (talk) 20:37, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
