Hey, i'm going to use this qualifier for nominations as well. It makes sense to use the same property and not create another property just for that usecase. E.g. Tom Cruise (Q37079) => nominated for (P1411) Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor (Q106291), qualifier for work (P1686) => Magnolia (Q588420) Husky (talk) 11:40, 1 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I renamed the property "for work" and put both "awarded for work" and "nominated for work" as aliases. Cbrown1023 talk 17:01, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Award for non Wikidata item[edit]

Currently this can only be used for items that have a Wikidata item. Oscar-winning movies and best selling books usually have, but how to use it if e.g. want to reference a CD recording or academic book, it would perhaps be over ambitious to create a wikidata item for every every CD recording ever made. @H@r@ld: No, you should create such items if you want to celebrate that work ;). --Jobu0101 (talk) 11:52, 15 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Help me I'm stuck in the matrix[edit]

    Cf. d:Q98280501, "awards received" section.

    • Adding "for work" qualifiers trips "Values of for work statements should be instances of work" warning.
    • OK, I add "instance of: work" to d:Q4477182... and it says "The value for instance of should not be work.".
Is there a backdoor out of this matrix, somewhere, or should I just leave it? Retired electrician (talk)
