Inverse property not working well[edit]
field of this occupation (P425) isn't working great as an inverse property here. Christianity (Q5043) is practiced by Christian (Q106039) and vegetarianism (Q83364) is practiced by vegetarian (Q18338317), but it wouldn't make sense to have a "field of this occupation" property for Christian or Vegetarian. How should we fix this? Sdkb (talk) 09:27, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- And I just ran into yet another instance of this with atheism (Q7066), which is practiced by atheist (Q13211738), but we wouldn't say atheists' "field of occupation" is atheism. Courtesy pinging Gymel, Infovarius, and Jura1, who I see have discussed something a little similar before at P425. {{u|Sdkb}} talk 20:42, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
In Chinese[edit]
In Chinese language, "practiced by" has two separate meanings: those who take something as a profession (從業者) or as a belief (信仰者). I think the second meaning could be separated from this property. --The Master (talk) 06:23, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
