Discussion[edit]

Other identifier[edit]

@Epìdosis: Did you know there also is another kind of identifier for NFL players? E.g.

Both are retrievable from the source code of the web page (the second one is called "ESB ID", but I don't know referring to what).

Since on it.wiki I'm doing a lot of substitutions like this one, do you think we should propose a new property for the alternative ID? --Horcrux (talk) 09:05, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Horcrux: I think ESB ID is the obsolete form of the first one, as you can see also from en:Template:Infobox NFL biography. In my opinion a new identifier isn't necessary in this case, since we already have the most recent form of the IDs. --Epìdosis 13:26, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Formatting update needed[edit]

NFL.com updated their site recently, and with it came a new format for player pages. They now simply just go with "first-last" instead of arbitrary numbers. None of the old IDs redirect to the new page either.  – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dissident93 (talk • contribs).
