new webpage[edit]

@Giovanni Alfredo Garciliano Diaz, Mahir256, Pigsonthewing, GZWDer: The structure of billboard.com has changed. For some artists, a new page exists, e.g. the new page for Bob Dylan (Q392) is https://www.billboard.com/music/bob-dylan and the old page http://www.billboard.com/artist/293235/bob-dylan is even redirecting there. But for some other artists, no new page exists, e.g. Ashleigh Ball (Q2067434). What should we do? --Pasleim (talk) 10:25, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe it's an error: Ashleigh Ball still appears in the search results. Anyway, I think we should update the existing identifiers to the new structure, the old links would stop working in any moment. But, also we should keep the old links that don't have new links now. --Giovanni Alfredo Garciliano Díaz diskutujo 19:03, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Pasleim: I've realized of something: since the formatter URL (P1630) property was updated, the old values with nnnnn/artist syntax generate links that returns an Error 503 Backend fetch failed error, e.g. Meryl Streep (Q873) has currently the value '310603/meryl-streep'. The old link (with artist) still works, however. I suggest simply delete the number part in all items that have the old syntax, with a bot. --Giovanni Alfredo Garciliano Díaz diskutujo 03:26, 30 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
A SPARQL query shows that almost all values are using an invalid syntax. --Giovanni Alfredo Garciliano Díaz diskutujo 03:31, 30 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
