How to handle some (types of) entries[edit]

So, I've worked a bit on the Mix'n'match catalogue in the last couple of days and found quite a few entries where I'm not really sure how to handle these:

  1. pseudonyms and house names like [1]. Guess adding the pseudonyms to the authors' items is not the way to go, especially if they're shared pseudonyms used by more than one author. IMO entries where the use of these pseudonyms and house names is described could receive separate ites with instance of (P31) pen name (Q127843) or house name (Q19913602). Could even use the SFE as a reference for these statements.
  2. alternative titles like [2] or [3], that contain little more than "Film (year); vt of original title.". My suggestion would be to not use these and mark them as "Not applicable to Wikidata" in mix'n'match.
  3. alternative spellings with no additional information linking to the topic's entry. IMO could be treated the same as pages for alternative titles.
  4. entries for topics that only contain information like "Film (2007), see [topic]" with a link to it's creator, the film/game series or some other entry where it is described/mentioned. - not sure whether to add them to the items of these specific topics or to ignore them because there's no content here. Examples: [4], [5], [6] or [7].

What do you think? Probably good to have a bit of a guideline. --Kam Solusar (talk) 20:41, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
