Bantog na pintor at miyuralista. Isinilang sa Macabebe, Pampanga, noong Enero 22, 1910. Nagtapos ng Fine Arts sa Pamantasan ng Pilipinas, 1930. Tagaguhit at lay-out artist ng Philippines Herald, Photo News, Liwayway at Saturday Evening News, Nagwagi ng unang gantimpala ang kanyang “Pounding Rice,” 1940, at “Barung-Barong No. 1,” 1950. Tumanggap ng Outstanding U.P. Alumni Award, 1957; Republic Cultural Heritage Award, 1963; at Araw ng Maynila Patnubay ng Kalinangan Award, 1970. Gumuhit ng miyural “Freedom of the Press,” “Stations of the Cross,” “Agham at Humanidad,” atbp. Ginawaran pagkamatay bilang isang National Artist, 1981. Namatay noong Agosto 22, 1981. (Tagalog)
