Pinasinayaan bilang <u>Escuela Nautica de Manila</u> noong Abril 5, 1820. <u>Naging Nautical School</u> noong panahon ng Amerikano. Ipininid nang ilang taon, muling binuksan noong 1913 at isinama sa <u>Philippine School of Arts and Trades</u> sa Daang Arroceros. Inihiwalay dito at ginawang <u>Philippine Nautical School</u> sa Daang Roberts, Pasay. Ginawang <u>Philippine Merchant Marine Academy</u> noong 1963. Inilipat sa Fort Bonifacio noong Enero, 1969.
