Honouring Dr Ruth Kiew, one of the pre-eminent botanists of Malaysia. Former Professor of Botany at Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (now Universiti Putra Malaysia), and Keeper of the Herbarium, Singapore. Dr Kiew is currently co-editing the Flora of Peninsular Malaysia Project at the Forestry Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), based at Kepong, near Kuala Lumpur. Among Ruth’s numerous research interests, including far-reaching understanding of limestone flora, Begoniastands out. (English)
