Not all monarchs are rulers or heads of state[edit]

This item should not be a subclass of ruler (Q1097498) or head of state (Q48352) since not all monarchs are rulers or heads of state. See w:Non-sovereign monarchy.--Anders Feder (talk) 15:32, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's safe to say that all monarchs are politicians in the broad sense of the term (and as defined in the English data item), so I've added p279 politician. --Izno (talk) 13:28, 17 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Monarch[edit]

In my professional opinion: a monarch is not an occupation, but a title of status. See e.g. Van Leeuwen, Miles and Maas (2004)

Also, monarch is a person, who has monarchical rights, carrier/bearer of monarchical status --Fractaler (talk) 13:35, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Scots spelling[edit]

The main Scots spelling of King is 'King' not 'Keeng'.[1] Can this be updated? Soothrhins (talk) 09:51, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
