Please note that this item is about the city of Stockholm, not Stockholm municipality (Q506250). /Esquilo (talk) 07:20, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

To make it even more complicated: There is also an item for Stockholm City-municipality Q10680648 until 1970.
And the urban area of Stockholm Q94385.
'city' is not very well-defined as a term, I'm afraid. -- Lavallen (block) 08:57, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
For this reason I have removed the population (P1082) from this item. The population +2 milion applies to Stockholm County (Q104231). The population +900.000 applies to Stockholm Municipality (Q506250). /ℇsquilo 07:34, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Reverts[edit]

@Infovarius: See the above discussion. This item is not easy to tell what it really is about. I would say that it describes the idea of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.

Does it has neigbours? Probably, but not municipalities. Does it has area. Yes, but which, since there is no good definition of it. Is it divided into "administrative territorial entities"? I doubt that! Does it has a hight over sea level? Maybe, but where do you measure it? -- Innocent bystander (talk) 20:20, 18 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I think the consensus on swvp is that Stockholm (Q1754) is the part of Stockholm urban area (Q94385) that is located within Stockholm Municipality (Q506250). At least today. Before 1971 at least I would say that it is the same as Stockholm City (Q10680648). /ℇsquilo 13:35, 13 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Deprecation of population[edit]

The population data for the tätort Stockholm is relevant IMO and should not be deprecated. Unfortunately the Statistics Sweden has only released this data under CC-BY, see Wikidata:Partnerships_and_data_imports#Statistics_Sweden_and_CC-BY--So9q (talk) 08:59, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It would go into Stockholm urban area (Q94385) then. That is the item for the tätort (which extends well beyond Stockholm Municipality (Q506250)) /ℇsquilo 13:39, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, okay. Why do we have two Qs for the same human settlement?--So9q (talk) 16:32, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Stockholm urban area (Q94385) is the "urban area" as defined by SCB. What this (Q1754) actually is is not totally clear IMHO. Eventually these two entries should be merged, but that goes for the Wikipedia articles as well. /ℇsquilo 08:06, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Stad (city)[edit]

The end time (P582) for city (Q515) should probably be December 31, 1862 (Q69232728) since Stockholm City (Q10680648) is the administrative territorial entity (Q56061) (town in Sweden (Q2261863)) from January 1, 1863 (Q69232731). Based on Swedish municipal reforms of 1862 (Q10397136).Maundwiki (talk) 13:51, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
