castles are not fortresses[edit]
Can we keep the distinction that castles generally don't mount artillery, while forts, and their larger versions, fortresses, do. Using fortress here blurs the valuable distinction between the types. Vicarage (talk) 09:30, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
