- @Infovarius: Do you understand the "metaclass" concept ? There is an article on enwiki : metaclass (Q19478619)
about this and how it is used in various ontologies, you can also read Help:Classification. ArthurPSmith started a project to find out problems related to this kind of modelling on WikiProject Ontology : Wikidata:WikiProject_Ontology/Problems and it turns out there is not many problems found out atm which may me think this actually works here. - On the "why this item" I don't remember the "why" I created it, probably had something in mind which I either forgot or was deleted by someone and its very hard to fin since it's probably hidden in the history of some other item. One thing is sure : language family (Q25295) is (should be?) a subclass of it. The relation with languoid (Q17376908) needs to be checked out, but this class could be a "variable order metaclass" in the Cyc (Q1147294) . By the way, the fact that "langoid" is a subclass of information deserves to be examinated. author TomT0m / talk page 08:18, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
