Merge[edit]
- Let's merge PetScan (Q23665536) with Wikipedia:PetScan (Q56723771); both are identical. —Vis M (talk) 06:48, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Eurohunter: Why was it split? Merge now? —Vis M (talk) 06:51, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Vis M: No. One is for tool PetScan like any item for example Firefox or Windows 10 and another one is for internal Wikipedia page about PetScan. Eurohunter (talk) 10:03, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Eurohunter, Vis M: Cat-a-lot (Q8615002), HotCat (Q3396208), OpenRefine (Q5583871), Wikidata Query Service (Q20950365) and ProveIt (Q18515947) are single Wikidata elements for each gadget/tool. Luan (talk) 13:32, 29 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Luan: It's not argument. Wikipedia:HotCat is not in the main space. Different spaces has been created for some reason. Eurohunter (talk) 22:19, 29 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Eurohunter: Why? There is not "HotCat" in Wikipedia main spaces. Luan (talk) 22:49, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Luan: It don't need to be. There is a lot of items without any interwiki. Eurohunter (talk) 14:13, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Eurohunter: again, Cat-a-lot (Q8615002), HotCat (Q3396208), OpenRefine (Q5583871), Wikidata Query Service (Q20950365) and ProveIt (Q18515947) are single Wikidata elements. And all have sitelinks for internal Wikipedia pages about respective gadget/tool. So why does PetScan need to be different? Why should we have an especific Wikidata element for "internal Wikipedia page about PetScan"? Luan (talk) 14:23, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Luan: If there would be a redirect in mainspace to for example Wikipedia (Q52) it would be different item due to different space in the same way as Wikidata (Q2013) and Project:Wikidata (Q4847210). Eurohunter (talk) 14:32, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Eurohunter: OK, I understand, but there is not "a redirect in mainspace" about PetScan. What you have said does not apply to this situation and until now does not explain the split. Luan (talk) 00:43, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
