Removed genre[edit]

I removed genre, since I don't think it applies. "Feature film" is a classification based on length, while genre is the overall kind of film (drama, comedy, documentary). Superm401 - Talk 03:34, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@Superm401: Do you have any reference for the claim that "feature film" is classified based on length only? In Danish, we do not have an entirely similar concept, though "spillefilm" might be. In Danish, a spillefilm would be a long fictional film. — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 11:08, 10 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Featurefilm or feature length?[edit]

In a discussion about the title of the article on nlwiki, I realized that 'langspeelfilm' (or 'avondvullende film', 'lange film' and a number of other terms) were not translations of 'feature film', but rather of 'feature length'. Discussions are to be found here and here.

What goes for nlwiki goes for most other Wikipedia's. Most (if not all) Wikipedia's describe a film "long enough to be used as the principal film in a program", rather than a film "that is the principal film in a program, judging by it's length". Those articles should therefor be connected to Feature length. EvilFreD (talk) 19:59, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
