Why the version type and preferred rank reverts?[edit]

@MichielN the dpkg 1.22.x branch is the current one under development, the 1.21.x is the stable one, so I explicitly marked them as beta and stable. Why the change? This had the effect of the info box in the dpkg wikipedia page not listing both branches, since I switched them from hardcoded values to use the wikidata sources, and also on repology which does not correctly list both branches anymore. I did not undo the reverts, because perhaps I'm missing something on the semantics here? Otherwise it would have been nice to get a note given that the changes that got reverted were explicit. :) Guillem Jover (talk) 22:05, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Guillem, I failed to notice that the 1.22 branch was not the stable one. (1.22.1 is already available on my Termux setup, which was the trigger for my change.) My apologies. Kindly undo my reverts. I would undo them myself, but since you are obviously much closer to the subject it is probably best if I leave that to you. Kind regards. Ah, no worries and thanks for the context. Will revert them then. :) Guillem Jover (talk) 12:56, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
