Differences between GNU/Linux and Linux[edit]

Hi there,
could somebody tell me what the difference between those two terms are? There are no articles in de-wp and en-wp, they redirect to Linux (Q388). Is there a really difference, so that in the Wikipedias of the linked articles of this item have two articles, one for each? Or is this a interwiki linking failure?

Hi. --AVRS (talk) 16:46, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Android is not GNU/Linux. GNU/Linux is a subset of GNU and of systems based on the Linux kernel (Linux). --AVRS (talk) 16:46, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I haven't that there is this difference with it. Then I think that's ok. Thank you very much. (also for the fast answer, I though I've to wait years ;) --#Reaper (talk)) 19:14, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
