I would like to use Moon as a specificator for the place of creation of photographs (for example made by apollo missions). This is currently not completely valid, because the Property Property:P1071 complains that Moon is not a region or a subclass of it. Therefore I added Q618123 to Moon, but this may not be completely valid or at least doesn't have the expected effect. Any hints for me? -- Dr. Schorsch (d) 10:19, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@xorx:Although the default web interface to Wikidata doesn't yet expose it, the 'coordinates of camera' property can be given a 'globe' identifier that specifies which celestial body (out of just the Earth, Mars, and the Moon right now I think; edit: nope, many more too...phabricator:diffusion/EWBA/browse/master/repo/config/Wikibase.default.php$222) the coords refer to. That would probably be a better option, and although I have not myself done this I believe there are specialist tools on the toolserver for this.
