aliases[edit]

I added English "shortcut" aliases to these two properties because they will be so widely used, and because searching for "male" and "female" in English gives numerous inaccurate results before the correct ones. I expect a purist to object, but anyway. The aliases are, for females, "sf" (sex female), and "sg" (sex male/"guy")--chosen only to be entered with the left hand easily. Regards, Espeso (talk) 18:08, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Espeso, Good idea in principle but sf could mean so many other things, that this alias seems a little too general, probably best not to add such general aliases, there are plenty of tools for quickly adding gender to items

Vandalism[edit]

Today some idiot changed the English label to "male". I reverted that. Could vandalism like this be prevented? --FA2010 (talk) 14:33, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Let's not merge this without prior discussion[edit]

As this is used on thousands of items for P27, could we avoid merging this into some other itme? --- Jura 21:31, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Chechen Wikipedia[edit]

When I translate this thread it in the Chechen Wikipedia does not work. female (chechen. зударийн). what should i do? Not sure about the reason. Now ot should work. Thank you, Conny (talk) 13:04, 6 March 2015 (UTC).[reply]

@Conny: Once you have created this thread in an article about a woman parameter Steel Mens here to see prices must be (Йина де) rather than Вина де as it is now. -- Дагиров Умар (talk) 13:47, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Changed it - is this ok now? Conny (talk) 17:56, 6 March 2015 (UTC).[reply]
@Conny: now all is well. Thank you.
— Ivan A. Krestinin (talk) 20:58, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
