Hello, I have been working on some materials that have been created in the style of manga outside of Japan. I noticed that manga (Q8274) and manga series (Q21198342) in their English labels are described as "published in Japan". However, manga has become a truly global phenomenon and a lot of artists outside of Japan create in manga style and even call themselves mangaka. I wonder if it is possible to edit the language in the labels on these items to something like "Style of comics originating in Japan". "Comics series in the style of manga originating in Japan". This way we acknowledge the provenance, but expand the publishing of manga to the global scale. I see that the Spanish label already does that: "historietas de origen japonés". I understand and appreciate the purism: the true manga can only be created in Japan, :) But there is already a body of academic literature on global manga.
