and what about claims at brain (Q1073) item? d1g (talk) 17:49, 15 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@ChristianKl: another problem is that according to ru/be-links, encephalon (Q75865) consists of brain (Q1073) and spinal cord (Q9606). --Infovarius (talk) 18:29, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Infovarius: FMA suggests that Neuraxis with the synomyms (Cerebrospinal axis/CNS/Central nervous system) is the name of the entity that contains brain (Q1073) and spinal cord (Q9606). What kind of differences does central nervous system (Q47273) make with encephalon (Q75865). Is the difference about the inclusion of meninges (Q268930)? ChristianKl (talk) 18:59, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's very vaguely described... But it's a good guess - may be difference is in meninges (Q268930), may be in cerebellum (Q130983)... --Infovarius (talk) 20:17, 19 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@ChristianKl: Sorry, I didn't receive any ping for this. Since you are referring to the article in French, there is a chart in here, and all the components of encephalon detailed in here. Also, in Spanish, the parts of the encephalon are in es:Encéfalo#Partes_del_enc.C3.A9falo. In both cases, the articles are referring to the human encephalon, which includes the brain. A picture illustrating this can be found in Commons:File:Encephalon human sagittal section multilingual.svg. At least in the case of Latin-based languages, brain (Q1073) comes from the Latin word la:Cerebrum, whereas encephalon (Q75865) originates from the Greek el:εγκέφαλος. Two different roots with two distinct meanings: one (encephalon) encompassing the other (cerebrum) plus other components. Andreasm háblame / just talk to me 02:14, 19 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Andreasmperu: It's true that the chart indicates that encephalon contains an entity that's called Cerebrum but that entity is represented by cerebrum (Q75855) and not brain (Q1073). Both of those entities can get called Cerebrum or cerveau in French and the French article about brain (Q1073) explains it well. The parts that are currently listed besides the brain in brain (Q1073), brain stem (Q182228) and cerebellum (Q130983), are parts of brain (Q1073) (or parts of parts) so the current list doesn't make much sense.
