Russian description / Русскоязычное описание[edit]
[RUS] Предлагаю оставлять русскоязычное описание коротким, т.к. о статусе русского языка можно много чего написать, и оно написано в статье в Википедии :-). Он восточнославянский и один из международных — это вполне очерчивает его статус.--EUvin (talk) 14:00, 25 June 2017 (UTC) UPD. Countries[edit]
Property Countries doesn't make sense without qualifiers to each relation. Relationships between countries and languages are very complex. For countries where Russian is an official language there is a special list: Q2663754 Алексей Скрипник (talk) 10:30, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- We use country (P17) to model where a language is spoken (it does not imply any particular status). This is widely used in Wikidata (e.g. over 90% of items with ISO 639 codes have country (P17)) so if you disagree with how we are modelling it, please propose an alternative model rather than changing a single item (Wikidata:Project chat or Wikidata:WikiProject Languages would be good places for such a discussion). Qualifiers might make the information more useful for people who are interested in the status of a language within a country, but it's not a reason to remove the statements entirely. - Nikki (talk) 00:46, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

Video WIKITONGUES- Amir speaking Russian and Hebrew.webm was half Russian half Hebrew, that's why it's not representative video for Russian language. That's why I deleted it. Also there is Audio property with example of Russian language, it's enough to get the idea of it. Алексей Скрипник (talk) 12:34, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- Я хочу для всех языков добавить и аудио и видео. Видео может показать какую-то невербалику, специфическую для языка, так что это не лишнее.
