I have removed the French interwiki. Despite common etymology, the French word has a quite different meaning from its English cognate. The French word means: "Dévotion fourvoyée dans un attachement au détail, à la lettre, à des pratiques formelles, superstitieuses" i.e. "devoutness perverted into an excessive attachment to detail, litteral interpretation [of the sacred texts], formal practices, superstition". I can't find an equivalent term in English. The English term "bigotry" means "the state of feeling, or the act of expressing, strong, unreasonable beliefs or opinions", what could be translated in French as "fanatisme" (but Q489750 already links fr:fanatisme with en:fanaticism). I do not know the meaning of the terms in the other languages. BrightRaven (talk) 08:54, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
