Use on items?

Can complex constraints be added to particular items, on their talk pages? For example, an item might require that there be no direct instances of it, or that instances of it must have particular properties. --Yair rand (talk) 18:24, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

Custom constraints

The word "complex" has misleading connotations that may discourage work with these constraints, and these constraints are not so distinguished by their complexity as by the need to specify them from scratch as SPARQL queries.

Would you agree to change the name of these constraints to custom? This name is already used sometimes. --abián 12:26, 1 February 2020 (UTC)

Ivan is not involved here. Deltabot is the only bot that evaluates complex/custom constraints. IMO "custom constraint" is a much better name for these than "complex constraint". —MisterSynergy (talk) 22:17, 20 March 2023 (UTC)

Pipe (|) issue

On Property talk:P6432 i have an issue about a complex query with a pipe.

Missing link?

I think a link to the apropriate external link on the respective objekt in the list of missing labels would be beneficial. As it is now, I'll have to go to the item and find the property, go there, go back and then update the label. That is one step too many for me as I expect it to have a link to the external site like we do on Wikidata:Database reports/Constraint violations/P2334 for instance. --Sabelöga (talk) 02:31, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
