Samantha Levin (Preferred pronouns: She, Her, Hers) is a Special Collections Associate at the Fashion Institute of Technology Library's Special Collections and College Archives (SPARC). Her work focuses on Digital Curation, which has put her in charge of digital preservation, digitization, metadata, and inventory of the archive's assets. Samantha holds an MSLIS from Pratt Institute’s School of Information and a BFA in Sculpture from the School of Visual Arts. She has worked as a freelance archivist and records manager with experience in digital asset management and a specialty in rights management for digital photography collections.

In WikiData, Samantha hopes to add records for entities that are prominent in the collection at SPARC to begin integrating the use of linked data in their media metadata. She will be working on behalf of the Fashion Institute of Technology for the benefit of its students, faculty, and staff, as well as researchers who visit from around the world to view our collection.
