Issues with your edits[edit]

Hello IP user, there has been a second complaint about your edit behavior on the Administrators' noticeboard. While I value your efforts to maintain items about Vietnamese entities in general, there are a couple of issues with your edits I need to address:

  • References containing imported from Wikimedia project (P143) with a Wikimedia project as value should not be removed, unless there is an external reference provided as a direct replacement on a per-claim basis. Plain removal of such references is considered as vandalism any may result in account or IP blocks.
  • Please be also careful with labels that contain diacritical characters. Those should be kept, not "simplified" to ASCII versions. You are welcomed to add an ASCII version of the label as an alias (cf. Help:Aliases for details).

In case of questions feel free to ask. I now have this page on my watchlist for a couple of days. You are also welcomed to contribute to the linked topic on the Administrators' noticeboard. Regards, MisterSynergy (talk) 19:37, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have not even had any message before.
As usual, the document here is completely impenetrable. I don't know what imported from Wikimedia project (P143) is, or what it means. I do however see that GeoNames ID (P1566) is suppose to be as a qualifier to e.g. coordinate location (P625). As shown in GeoNames ID (P1566) documentation.
There is a difference between an English text and a Vietnamese one. English should not have diacriticals which are not in the usual "typewriter font". That is why there are different languages.
The whole of the Vietnam file is a complete dog's bollocks (Wikidata and Wikipedia).

Diacritics are, always have been and always will be supported by Wikipedia and Wikidata, so if all of our efforts are a "dog's bollocks", then move your troubles and efforts to a different venue, elsewhere. Jared Preston (talk) 23:26, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
