Global account[edit]

Excuse me for my bad english and if i'm not able to explain well what I mean. I was banned from Wikipedia Italia in 3 days after I've given my contribution for more than 8 years! They are not open-minded and some of their admin work not for having a better wiki enciclopedia but for mantain their power and their status into the management of wikipedia Italia. I'm disgusted for this, and so I don't want a global account because I cannot work in all versions of wikipedia cause I was banned from italian version. Excuse me for my explain but this is what i think right now! Antpriv (talk) 06:50, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Antpriv: The Wikimedia Foundation nonetheless decided to make all accounts and hence also your Antpriv account unique global ones because this process on the one hand allows each one to easily edit any wiki where you are not blocked without having to register new local accounts or logging in each time separately. Additionally, their username is protected on all wikis, and there will be no more accounts with the same username that could be used by different people which would result in clashes (or bugs when articles are imported on other wikis in order to comply with the Creative Commons license for translations for example) that had to be resolved and will be resolved now during the SUL finalization. On the other hand, new technical support like global watchlists or notifications will be made possible as soon as all accounts are unique which will also make it easier for you to stay updated with your other local accounts if you wish. For that reason, I recommend you to create your global account on your own instead of leaving that to the automatic processes of the Wikimedia Foundation. Of course, your account could also be renamed afterwards. But your itwiki block cannot be lifted by that. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me again. Concerning your changes on Wikidata windows 10.[edit]

hello, please stop to cancel my changes because 10.0.14393.51, 10.0.10586.545, 10.0.10240.17071 and 10.0.14905 means nothing. Simply remove the 10.0 because in the historical site of majs Windows 10, it is written like this: 14393.51, 10586,545, 10240.17071 and 14905. that is why I will cancel your changes. Thank you understand my understanding.

I did not edit Windows 10 at all. Best, DerHexer (talk) 15:22, 20 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Date correction[edit]

Hi, I have taken the liberty to correct the date (Meeting date for 2nd walking tour Wikidatacon 2017) shown in here as seemingly it is a missed edit. Please revert the same if I was wrong. Thanks Viswaprabha (talk) 15:07, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the correction, it was a c&p error. :-D Best, DerHexer (talk) 16:35, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Call for participation in a task-based online experiment[edit]

Dear DerHexer,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits.

Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study will start in late January 2022 or early February 2022, and it should take no more than 30 minutes.

If you agree to participate in this study, please either contact me at kholoud.alghamdi@kcl.ac.uk or use this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSees9WzFXR0Vl3mHLkZCaByeFHRrBy51kBca53euq9nt3XWog/viewform?usp=sf_link

I will contact you with the link to start the study.

For more information about the study, please read this post: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Kholoudsaa

In case you have further questions or require more information, don't hesitate to contact me through my mentioned email.

Thank you for considering taking part in this research.

Regards
