Duplicate names

A name is only duplicate when the spelling 100% matches. If a persons first name is Paulus, we don't want a statement that his first name is Pawel, because 2 first names are duplicate. If the spelling differs names can't be merged. Mbch331 (talk) 11:05, 10 November 2015 (UTC)

I'm sorry for my confusing edits in this section, but I still don't understand. In item Q1242655 in section said to be the same as is Paulus listed. So it is not possible to merge Paulus into this item even if they are the same, just another spelling? Do I understand it right? That claim Pavel (Q1242655)said to be the same as (P460)Paulus (Q15732712) is added especially because we know they are the same, but can't be merged. I moved 1 sitelink to Paulus (Q15732712), because it is the same spelling as that item. It's all explained at WikiProject Names. Mbch331 (talk) 16:11, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
