Authorship on patent items

Hello, I noticed room for improvement with patent items like Transmon qubits with trenched capacitor structures (Q118062753) that you have started:

• the author name string (P2093) strings should probably not contain the parenthesis with the location, though object named as (P1932) could perhaps be used to capture that, albeit probably with one space rather than two
• authorship order should be indicated using series ordinal (P1545), as is customary for works, even single-authored ones like Practical Purposes: Readers in Experimental Philosophy at the Boston Athenaeum (1827–1850) (Q56724562)
• to the extent possible, statements should have references

I made some edits to that example item to begin addressing these issues. On the way, I also converted the author name string (P2093) statements into author (P50) statements using the Author Disambiguator.

I suggest that you adjust your workflows accordingly and try to fix existing items before creating new ones. Daniel Mietchen (talk) 12:39, 29 April 2023 (UTC)

I can modify the P2093 to remove the location and add this information using P1932 and do also your suggestion.

About the idea to use P50 instead of P2093 should be the next step after all patents are in wikidata.

This is because i an not sure if i can identity the right author simply from its name and surnam and i never used Author Disambiguator.

I so must learn before use.

Example case: Q122190225 and Method of cultivating algae and photobioreactor (Q122190463). It looks like you create multiple items for the same thing, then remove information from one (e.g. replacing the label with ".").
