Hi, I've noticed that the item Q5805194 should be deleted in order to move the page it contains to Q1074969, or perhaps merge both since they have the same topic, but it seems I don't have the required privileges to do so, so I've posted this here instead, as well as in the items' discussion panel. I'm not sure either if this request should be posted here or rather in the page deletion requests panel, so I apologize in advance if it's not the case. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by 90.77.137.74 (talk • contribs) at 3. 8. 2018, 09:00 (UTC).

Flagging three bureaucrats as interface administrator
As of today, administrators can no edit css/js files MediaWiki namespace anymore. Following Wikidata:Interface administrators and the need for crats to edit MediaWiki:Gadget-markAdmins.js when a new admin is promoted, I will grant the flag to myself, Lymantria, and Vogone, since we are all eligible to get it according to the transition rule.--Ymblanter (talk) 13:21, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- Shouldn't admins/bureaucrats ask for it rather then be granted it by default nor grant it to themselves?
--- Jura 13:34, 27 August 2018 (UTC)- I asked myself, and if Lymantria or Vogone object I am sure they will let me know. I am not going to give any more flags without explicit requests. I do not see anything in the policy about not granting the flag to myself.--Ymblanter (talk) 13:35, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- Well, it's says "request" not grant, contrary to staff.
--- Jura 13:43, 27 August 2018 (UTC)- "As a transitional rule, any administrators elected before August 27, 2018 (and who have not lost adminship before requesting interface adminship) may get interface adminship speedily before February 27, 2019."--Ymblanter (talk) 13:51, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- Speedily is quicker than 7 days. I thought the whole point of having this is that it isn't added by default to any account.
--- Jura 13:55, 27 August 2018 (UTC)- Here, we have a clear need for the tools - for example, on Thursday we might need to promote a new admin, and I might be not available - then someone has to do it. For other users, I will indeed require a request (though with the transitional rule if a request is valid we can just grant the flag).--Ymblanter (talk) 14:00, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- Consider my flag requested. Lymantria (talk) 15:05, 27 August 2018 (UTC) P.S. And most likely I will be available next thursday. Lymantria (talk) 15:06, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
